Fight against insecurity: MEGAMONDE helps the Municipal Police of Burkina Faso

To contribute to the fight against insecurity, MEGAMONDE handed over, on Friday, January 11, 2008, five (05) "Cross" motorcycles, each accompanied by a cell phone, a helmet, an all-risk insurance of one to the municipal police of the city of Ouagadougou. The total amount of this donation is five (05) million CFA francs. For the representative of MEGAMONDE, Francis BANDRE, the company wants to be "a corporate citizen working alongside the municipal authorities. By this act, MEGAMONDE intends to provide greater mobility to municipal police officers and strengthen their ability to act in their missions. This involves the fight against petty crime and acts of incivility, the surveillance of municipal property and the surveillance of the public highway (traffic, parking, speed control).

For his part, Simon COMPAORE, the Mayor of the city of Ouagadougou, instructed that "the use and distribution should be as efficient as possible". He also expressed the wish that the municipal police should strengthen its presence in the field. Visibly satisfied with the gesture of MEGAMONDE, Mr. COMPAORE expressed the wish to see other companies do the same. MEGAMONDE has done and redone. And we are waiting for others," he said.
